[Accra, Ghana - 20th May 2023] - Galaxy Aerospace Ghana (GAG), a leading aerospace company based in Ghana, and Science Journalism Ghana (SJG), a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing science journalism, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate and promote science and technology in Ghana.

The partnership aims to enhance science journalism in the country and increase public understanding of science and technology. By combining the technical expertise of GAG with the media reach and communication skills of SJG, the two organizations seek to foster a stronger relationship between science, journalism, and the general public.

Under the MOU, GAG will provide SJG with technical expertise in the field of aerospace, offering support to improve the quality of science journalism in Ghana. GAG will also share relevant information and data for SJG's activities and publications. Additionally, GAG will sponsor and support SJG's initiatives, such as science journalism workshops, seminars, and conferences. Access to GAG's facilities will be provided to SJG for their activities as well.

In return, SJG will promote GAG's activities and achievements through science journalism publications and activities. Both organizations will collaborate on the production of science and technology content for the public, ensuring accurate and engaging coverage. SJG will also provide media coverage for GAG's events and activities, amplifying their reach and impact. Furthermore, SJG will offer feedback and suggestions to enhance GAG's endeavors in the field of science and technology.

The MOU will be effective for a period of two years from the date of signing, unless mutually terminated earlier by both parties. Both GAG and SJG have expressed their commitment to upholding the confidentiality of any shared information and agree that any modifications to the MOU must be made in writing and signed by both parties.

The signing ceremony took place at GAG's headquarters in Accra, Ghana, with representatives from both organizations present. The event marked a significant step forward in strengthening the partnership between the aerospace industry and science journalism in Ghana.

As the MOU takes effect, GAG and SJG are poised to make significant contributions to science journalism in Ghana, fostering an environment that celebrates innovation, encourages scientific curiosity, and promotes the importance of science and technology in the country's development.
